Boston Red Sox
IF (4/5) - Really good IF, except not much offense from the SS position, particularly if the job goes to Lugo. Ortiz's numbers were down last year.
OF (4.5/5) - Bay, Ellsbury, and Drew are all solid starters. Baldelli and Kotsay (and possibly Brad Wilkerson) will be reserves. Pretty good unit.
SP (4.5/5) - Beckett, Matsuzaka, Lester may be the best 1-3 in the league. Since 2003, Wakefield is 44-31 in odd years, 29-32 in even years; so... 2009 should be good? Penny had a down year, but should rebound to be as good of a #5 as you can find. Masterson is waiting just in case. Oh and there's a guy named Smoltz coming soon.
RP (4.5/5) - Great bullpen added Saito. Masterson will likely start the year here while Buchholz should start in the rotation at AAA.
Wildcards: Jed Lowrie, John Smoltz, Justin Masterson, Clay Buccholz
